TIME

Time to move on.... don't you just stay at the same point... you have to finnish your lap not with running but.... sprint instead. no point staying and wandering at the start line.... jump off!!! Let it go!!! others had carried on... why can't you just let go the burden dragging you back and leave that to some one who doesn't know how to run?? stop. you heard the gun shot breaking the dawn.... New day is ahead. all you need to do is RUN! Runaway from it without looking back...? Yes.........

~un voyage à Penang 2~

21-12-2008 Day three. A morning call from my aunty makes me jump off the bed.... we planned to visit Bukit Bendera and Kek Lok Si at Air Itam today... had our breakfast at Air Itam where i tried penang loh mee~ mee in a thick sticky sauce... haha. we plunge our feet at the railway station up Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) right after breakfast. the journey up there took around 20 minutes... wow! the scenery up there was fabulous and imagine you can see the whole penang island and part of seberang perai at the peak.

entrance~

My sister holding all our tickets~

Inclined railway~

Ahaha~ Beauty! Penang bridge over there~

Is Basil's house somewhere down there??

We enjoyed the cool air up there for like one hour... i think. Then we go through the same route down... I 'accidentally' heard the conversation between a canadian and an american during our way down (don't blame me, they were talking just beside me). why i mention this little and insignificant detail compared to the trip? ahaha. they were both sick of the teenagers nowadays, some of them. complaining about the courtesy of teenagers. lack of respect to the senior citizens... for example, didn't save a seat for people more in need than themselves. Then i remembered last time when i took ktm back to shah alam at the peak hour. I got really pissed off by a young arrogant malay girl, she don't even bother to look at the old man infront of her. she even gave the people around a 'mind your own business' glance. What happened to people nowadays?? i wonder. what would it be like after few decades?? kesadsadan la. ha. Next is the kek lok si~ the railway up Penang Hill~

Traffic jam when we left~

The pagoda at kek lok si~

How much did they spent just on lanterns?

On my way back to gurney from air itam, i saw another school with huge field!! most probably the prestigious Chung Ling high school. haha. it's kinda sad remembering that my former high school has only 15m x 20m tiny field, not enough even for 100m sprint. Haz.... heard that they even stack a storage building on top of that recently~ :( Penang schools really makes me envy, especially their 'giant fields'.

Protest for greenery in school compound for Convent Klang!
~Thank God for the nice and not too sunny weather that day~
During night time, after dinner at a chinese restaurant, we walked around the town and check out some lounge there. but most of them were really crowded so we headed to perangin mall. got lotsa stuff at a very cheap prize there.... including a batman 5 in 1 cd. muahaha. More movies for me to enjoy throughout the holidays~
Christmas celebration is all around town...........
*end of day three at Penang*
22-12-2008 Aiseh... It's time to go back and bid goodbye to this lovely place.... at last but not least, Penang char kueh teow for breakfast. One thing i realised from this trip... Penang food are sold at a very reasonable prize...... rm2.20 for a bowl of har mee, rm2.60 for the plate of char kueh teow.... probably cost me rm3.80 in Klang.... so. don't worry that your pocket will be burned when you travel to penang.....
We stopped at Sungai Klah hot spring park at Sungkai, Perak on our way back to Kl and Klang. The river water was freaking hot... around 50-60 degree celcius. but... nevertheless, it's a good therapy there... makes your blood accelerate and your heart... dup dap dup dap... haha. kidding. Reach Klang around 9pm... Just can't wait for a hot water bath and hit my bed.... Exausted!

~un voyage à Penang~

Pictures speak louder than a thousand words~

19-12-2008~My family and i started driving from Klang at 5 am in the morning(supposed to be my sleeping time:(... but it's good to breathe in the morning breeze.... so... we headed north and pass by Bidor along the way.... wow. I got a shock at one of the restaurant that we stopped for breakfast.. "WTH? A normal restaurant selling wan tan mee at 7 bucks? Just a normal and not very pleasant restaurant~" haha. next we stopped by at Ipoh where we visited the Perak Cave... with religious drawings on the cave wall... kinda creepy deep down there

The entrance~

Told you it's creepy down there~

Ah~ Finally.... we reached the jetty at seberang perai around 1pm.... My dad chose the ferry rather than the penang bridge for a different experience... The traffic there wasn't that hectic that day... so we manage through in just a few minutes.... the journey by ferry took around 20 minutes~Double decked ferry. (ignore the reflection of an umbrella!!) let the officer be the focus!

Haha... this yellow double decked ferry kinda made me imagine a yellow version of London red double decked bus on water?

when we done touring around penang town... we set our feet at a bayview hotel at Batu Feringgi... Hydro Majestic hotel~ the surrouding is very tranquil and i really gave me a boost my long dead 'out of town nerves'... anyway. my youngest sis can't wait to dive in the swimming pool, so we save the beach for the next day while i enjoyed indoor sports with my second sis... especially table tennis. When all our stomach was grumbling of it's hunger... we took our shower and went to 'The Ship' for our dinner. I tasted 'Chicken Au Chambertin'...Grilled chicken fillet garnished with mushroom and red wine sauce... served with french fries and vegetables. Didn't suit me that well. but it was ok.... better than those half done beef. (sorry dad XD) Later on. we just wandered along the beach and the night market there. Lotsa stuff there which my friend described as "Pirated Luxurious Brand" PLB for short.... muahaha!
the restaurant. a SHIP!

*the end of day one at penang*

20-12-2008 Well well well. The soothening morning breeze and the waves which compose a perfect orchestral music woke me up... (argh... imagination made me think of "The Blue Danube " by J.Jr Strauss) Really nice to look at the beach early in the morning! After buffet style breakfast at the hotel... we went straight to the sea side... the salty breeze were welcoming even though the sun revealed all his indisputable rays~~

Rocky beach~

a small accident occured then... (scroll down~)

Note the sandal~

She got it back~

Penang town again~

Buildings well preserved here.

A methodist church i think. Churches here are like the miniature of those in Europe.

Even KFC has it's own unique building~

Komtar. Tallest building in Penang Island~

My dad used to study here during his secondary edu.

large field~

Another school with large fields~

School with larger field~
Botanical garden.....
Another shot from botanical garden... Many Penang people likes to jog here.

Round a bout near Gurney drive... Dominated by fast foods
but none is attractive when you're at Penang. You gotto search
for those tasty local food~

Maybe tourist and local citizens should be more aware
of cleanliness issue and ethnic morality.

My uncles, aunties, cousins and of course my lovely grandma joined us for day two and three at penang. It's amazing to hear that they reach Penang in less than 5 hours drive from KL. Amazing. I wonder why my dad took so long... we enjoyed a nice family gathering at the hawker stalls.... just before it started to drizzle...... nice moment....
